With the Paralympic Games right around the corner, the Road to Rio podcast caught up with Canadian discus thrower and 2015 Parapan gold medalist Renee Foessel.

Born with cerebral palsy that effects the right side of her body, Foessel’s athleticism and work ethic has propelled her to the top of the world in the F38 discus classification. At 21-years-old, she will compete in her first Paralympic Games in Rio and has a legitimate shot at coming home with a medal.
